I enjoyed your top 10 things... blog entry. I really appreciate your perspective on sleep training. It validates my own parenting style.

I would love to hear more about research on the different developmental stages. We are huge fans of Wonder Weeks at my house!

Looking forward to reading more of your blog. Btw, any chance your book will be published in the US?

I would also like to know if we can get your book in the US. Do you know if amazon.ca ships to the US?

I have to delve more into your site before I can provide any insightful feedback. :-)

I'd like a 24-hour support space.

Just ordered the book to ship to the U.S. - even with shipping it's not horrendously expensive.

Hi Isabel,

I'm a long-time Moxie reader and a Toronto resident. I have two little boys - 5.5 and 2.5 - and have struggled (still kind of do) with sleep for both of them. I've just ordered your book, but I'd love to talk to you online and/or in person. Feel free to email me if you'd like to stare into space (and/or grab a coffee in the lobby of HSC) sometime.

Robin

I'm a Moxie reader, and I LOVE the idea of a place where exhausted parents can commiserate 24/7. And a blog where we can discuss sleep in a rational, nonjudgmental and supportive way... hooray!

(I live in Paris so I probably won't be able to get my hands on your book any time soon, but if it does come out in the US or in Europe I will definitely look for it.)

Hi Isabel,

I just ordered your book. I have read Moxie for years and I am also in Toronto with my two boys, a 4-year-old and 6-month-old. I'd love to get together off-line too.

OK, 24 hour support space it is! I'll try to set it up this weekend. I'm a bit of a techy nightmare, but learning quickly...

@Robin: Thanks! I'll take you up on that.

@parisienne mais presque: I'll check if there's no way for Amazon.ca to ship to France. If not, and your really want to get your hands on it, I can ship it to you personally. And as an aside, Paris is my favourite place on the planet. I'd pretty much give up my career if I could find a way to live there and still make an income.

Isabel, when I was sleep training my little guy, I still had my BlackBerry...I was lying on the floor of his room, and would've killed for a forum like that. Go for it!

@Robin and Mia: Yes, let's get a Toronto get-together happening! Can you email me and we can try to set something up that's convenient for everyone? (Can you believe that I can't figure out how to get your emails from your post? I will, I will... I'm just a bit behind in the tech department).

A forum would be absolutely amazing.

We both have our PhDs in developmental psychology, so our "take" will usually be informed by our own and our colleagues' research, as well as developmental theory that spans several decades. And of course we'll throw in some thoughts that come from our own personal sample size of 3.
